OSS and BSS Software
Communications Service Providers must constantly improve business efficiency while at the same time create growth with next-generation services and infrastructure.
Data-hungry smartphones, social networking applications, and increasing adoption of online video have resulted in unprecedented traffic growth for Communication Service Providers. CSPs are under constant pressure for network upgrades to increase network capacity and keep up with the demand, and service monetization.
Aricent's B/OSS software solutions help operators focus on increasing profitability by offering differentiated services, while at the same time optimizing development and deployment costs.
Improving Real-Time Billing
Aricent worked with an Asian service provider to implement real-time billing for all products and services across wireless and wireline networks. We provided integration with the client's Active Mediation System as well as their partner solutions, and installed, tested, and maintained the complete system. It improved time-to-market for new offerings, minimized revenue leakage, and provided flexiblity for new business models.
Software Offerings
Our B/OSS software offerings are designed to adapt to existing communications networks and IT environments, and have the flexibility to evolve to meet the demands of future services.
The software is based on industry standards and follow the eTOM framework proposed by the TM Forum. Compliance with standards ensures tight integration of B/OSS with other network elements via interfaces such as DIAMETER, RADIUS, OSA/PARLAY, and XML/HTTP. Aricent’s B/OSS solutions also use workflows to solve complex problems in multi-network environments such as IMS, WiMAX, VOIP, LTE, 3G, and 2G.
